Our Committees
Empowering Our Community Through Action
The Committees of the Delaware County Black Caucus (DCBC) are the backbone of our organization. While the Convenors provide strategic direction, it’s the committees that power DCBC’s progress, crafting, curating, and executing programs and events that uplift and transform our community. These member-driven committees hold the authority to shape the future of DCBC, leading impactful initiatives that drive real, lasting change.

Responsibilities include managing DCBC’s quarterly newsletter, maintaining the organization’s website, overseeing all social media, and developing press releases and official statements in partnership with other committees and the Conveners. This committee plays a vital role in amplifying DCBC’s message and public engagement.

The committee has also hosted forums on criminal justice reform with county officials and is actively supporting the advocacy work for Leroy Evans, who has been unjustly incarcerated for over 30 years.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee oversees the nominations, elections, and onboarding of new members. This committee ensures that all members are in good standing and actively engaged in the organization’s initiatives. They also manage the process of maintaining membership standards and participation requirements.
Without the passion and dedication of our committees, DCBC would not be the force for progress that it is today.
